As a parent, is the ink used in your wallpaper safe for my child and the environment?
Custom Wallpaper by Colourcraft Ink only use the latest and safest water based inks. These inks are odourless and non-toxic.
Is the self-adhesive glue environmentally safe?
There is no Glycol-Ether or Formaldehyde in the adhesive and no Detrimental concerns of Phthalates. Our removable Custom Wallpaper is environmentally safe and bio-degradable over time, No PVC and nontoxic.
What surfaces can I wallpaper?
Anywhere there is a smooth flat surface our wallpaper can adhere to it, such as ceilings or splash-backs*, walls **, glass or metal but remember to take care when installing wallpaper in areas where ladders are required.
*Talk to us about Kitchen splash-backs.
**All walls MUST BE primed / painted (to prevent issues).
I’m not sure of my wall has been primed or painted with a repellent paint?
If you’re unsure if the wall has been painted with a Teflon or Wash & Wear paint.
We strongly recommend you prime your wall with
Viponds Prep Coat and wait at least 5 days for it to dry before installing your Custom Wallpaper.
How easy is the Installation & Removal process?
Peel and Stick Wallpaper is a super easy DIY product. Installation is a simple peel on, peel off. Our wallpaper is also very forgiving so if you make a mistake you can easily reposition and start over without damaging your wall or wallpaper. We recommend to use your hand, firmly pressing onto the wall surface, don’t be afraid to apply a lot of pressure to allow your wallpaper to settle onto the wall. Peel and Stick Wallpaper adheres directly onto all smooth, clean surfaces*
You will receive an easy to follow Installation Guideline with your order.
If your walls are already primed, minimal wall preparation is required/recommended: the smooth surface needs to be cleaned, no dust or fingerprints. You can use a damp cloth to clean the wall surface or window and allow it to completely dry.
Make sure all previous cleaning solutions are completely gone before installing for best adhesion results.
Custom Wallpaper should be installed on painted walls that have been primed and finished coated. For newly painted walls, a period of at least 30 days should be provided before installation to prevent bubbling. (Allow for degassing of the paint)
*The product is not recommended for brick, non-painted cement surfaces, textured or heavy painted spackled wall board, MDF or Porous surfaces.
Installation results will vary on Teflon, acrylic gloss, stucco and eggshell painted surfaces.
For outdoor installation it is recommended to cover with a liquid laminate for longevity.

Can I store my wallpaper once it has been removed?
The product will not rip or wrinkle and is not required to be removed within a certain period of time.
Should you choose to remove your Custom Wallpaper gently peel each panel from the corner downwards.
Custom Wallpaper can be stored by rolling onto itself and storing in a clean and sealed garbage bag, allowing it to be re-used in the future.

Do not void this guarantee by installing or removing your wallpaper from its backing sheet/s if your wallpaper is damaged or you have any hesitation about our printing.
Does wallpaper require any special maintenance?
Your wallpaper should not require any maintenance, but if bubbles should appear, gently rub them in a swiping action until they disappear. This can happen occasionally if oil, dirt or dust is on your surface.
In the rare instance that bubbles keep re-appearing, you may want to move your Custom Wallpaper to another area and prime your wall surface. Most causes of bubbles are because the wall was painted within the last 30 days or cleaning chemicals where used prior.
If your wallpaper requires cleaning you can lightly wipe it down with a warm damp cloth or sponge but make sure you avoid any chemicals and abrasive materials.
How do I measure my wall correctly?
You measure the wall, or area you want to cover by the width and height in centimetres. Do not allow for excess nor include the skirting boards as we automatically include a 25mm bleed on the base of each panel, which caters for walls that are not square. Or simply use the wallpaper calculator to find out how many square metres you will need.
If I want to crop my photo can this part be printed only?
Absolutely, you can crop your photo as you upload it.
Is my image high resolution or good enough quality for wallpaper?
As large format printing requires high-resolution images (min 100DPI). If your image has been taken on an older basic camera the image will pixelate (i.e. loose quality) the larger you try to reproduce it. We require your file in jpg or tiff format and under 50 MB filesize. Note: If your image won’t upload it may be because the resolution is below our 1MB min size requirement, or alternatively the file format is not compatible. Perhaps you have an old scanned image, with poor resolution and you want to use it please email us at

Is there any mess left behind when I remove the wallpaper?
Please ensure you peel back the wallpaper slowly from the wall, ripping may cause brittle or freshly painted walls to flake. If your walls have been freshly painted please ensure you allow plenty of time for the paint to cure before applying your wallpaper. If the wallpaper is removed slowly no residue or sticky mess will be left behind.

What is the best type and size of files that can be used?
You can upload your images directly to our site. For wallpaper print the file size should be at least 1MB. Remember the size of your file will impact on the quality of the image and size of the wall. For the best photography results please make sure your camera is set to its highest quality setting.
